Lindsay Maffei-Almodovar

Dr. Lindsay Maffei-Almodovar serves as a New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst at New York Behavior Analysis and Psychological Services (NYBAPS). She is a NYS certified special and general education teacher, and a board certified (doctoral level) behavior analyst, and has worked in the field of education and human services for over 20 years. Dr. Maffei-Almodovar began working on staff training initiatives in 2009 as a classroom teacher. Her applied work has included the development of cohesive staff training models across preschools, school age programs, day habilitation centers, residential group homes and home and community based insurance reimbursed ABA services. Dr. Maffei-Almodovar’s research focuses on staff training in evidence-based practices for people with developmental disabilities. She has published research articles in Behavior Analysis in Practice, the Review Journal on Autism and Developmental Disabilities, and the Journal of Behavioral Education as well as chapters in the Handbook of Evidence-Based Practice in Clinical Psychology, the Handbook of Crisis Intervention and Developmental Disabilities, and the Handbook of Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders. Dr. Maffei-Almodovar also co-authored the Handbook for Behavioral Skills Training with Dr. Peter Sturmey.
